Udržet ulice čisté je téměř nadlidský úkon, který dokáže demoralizovat i toho nejčistčího policejního nováčka. Přesto existuje důvod, že právě tento tým oddaných policistů patří do této jednotky, působí právě v této části města. Drogové dílny, žháři, neonáckové a ti nejhorší vrazi jsou pro tento tým denní prací. Když ale udeří hodně zvrácený sériový vrah, začne být nervózní i ten nejotrlejší policista. Vedoucí Vivienne Deering spolu se svou pravou rukou Dinah Kowalskou musí s týmem případ rozlousknout jakýmikoliv nekonvenčními prostředky, jaké budou potřeba. Ze všech těch pasácích, zlodějích a odporných břídilů, se kterými měli tu čest, je tohle ten nejznepokojivější případ, který se dotkne jejich životů způsobem, který by nikdy neočekávali.
