Under the hot August sun, against the backdrop of a secluded islet squeezed between the picturesque islands of the Aegean Sea, Charis, an acclaimed author allergic to bee stings, finds himself confronted with an unforeseen complication and his worst fears. Now, stranded on the islet's sandy beach, along with his neurotic wife Vasoula, his German half-sister Hildegard, and her eccentric mute psychiatrist friend Maria, Charis will have to cope with the symptoms of anaphylactic shock.
